Groot is a tree-like creature, a superhero featured in comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Larry Lieber, and Dick Ayers, this character first appeared in Tales to Astonish 13 (November 1960). In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.1, for protecting his teammates, Groot has sacrificed. But after the credits, the audience was happy to see the appearance of Baby Groot - the little boy and is said to be revived Groot.
