Deadpool is a counter-hero in the comic book published by Marvel Comics. Written by artist / writer Rob Liefeld and writer Fabian Nicieza, the character first appeared in The New Mutants. Originally Deadpool was portrayed as a villain when first appearing in The New Mutants and X-Force, but later developed into a heroic counter-hero. Deadpool is a mercenary with a disfigured body, unstable mentalities with supernormal abilities such as healing ability and superior physical strength. He is known for his unrelenting "mouth", and the ability to break the fourth wall, used by the author to increase humor for the character.
