Edgar Poe was born in Boston, the second child of David Poe and Elizabeth Arnold Hopkins Poe. His parents died early, Poe was adopted by John Allan. Since then Allan became Edgar's second family. The years 1815–1820 Edgar Poe and the Allan family went to England, Poe attended Richmond.
